I didn't release the Season 4 premiere in July
Holla holla!!!! (I have no idea where that greeting came from but work with me here)
I am here with some disappointing, but not surprising, news.
My plan was to release the Season 4 premiere in July. I have amazing episode artwork and had recorded some dope content to be put together. So what went wrong???
Episode 1000 of Jhen is clumsy
Well…I took a little tumble like a few weeks ago that turned out to be a Grade 2 sprain of my right ankle which involves a lot of things to rehab. Including expensive visits to urgent care, specialists appointments and being unable to move around as easily as I used to be able to.
I’m glad to be off crutches and into the walking boot but it’s still intensely uncomfortable and swells up all the time. I’m on mild painkillers because I have a very high pain threshold and to help prevent blood clots though.
On top of all of that, I had to travel internationally for an event so I have been hobbling around a place that is very unfriendly for people with physical disabilities. It’s been a struggle but I’m getting through it.
My current plan is for the Season 4 premiere to drop mid August.

Upside is that with this time off, I’ve been able to read some great books including one that features sex workers, African people and a closed triad!
Just For The Cameras by Viano Oniomoh is SO DAMN GOOD! Literally 5 alarm fire. Filled with will they/won’t they and hot sexy love scenes.

Also the world is still burning up (heatwaves etc) and there are massive storms (literally everywhere) and apparently there are aliens?
All in all…
I am trying to focus on healing while at the same time, giving you all the content I have been depriving you of for like 7 months.
Obviously a lot of this is self imposed pressure BUT I do want to come back to a new “normal” with the podcast and this new cadence.
With SAG-AFTRA & WGA still being on strike, I’m also trying to be careful with how I speak about certain tv and film projects and not do free promo for these shitty companies who won’t pay people.
